FINIS....

Sitting outside not five minutes ago, tears streaming down my face, children running screaming in the middle of the street, I finished it. Beautiful.

Canada part trois...

Cam's Skills...

The Approach...

The Drop....

The Victory...

This was a ten foot bowl, about three feet of straight vert. The local dudes gave him head nods of approval. He's so little but so unafraid. I actually can't believe he did it, and he did it over and over again. Good job Cam.

Here's the Ad's, he learned to drop in up there as well. Looking good little man.

Canada part deux...(two, you're catching on aren't you?)

Ok so in Canada we have two types of bowling, and that's not including curling which is sort of like bowling on ice.

Yes indeed folks we have your standard ten pin, snore-a-rific, bowling and then we have five pin bowling. You heard me right. Tim had never heard of this and so he was kind of excited to try it out. Unfortunately I don't have a single photo of his bowling technique but I can tell you that he came in DEAD LAST, even behind our little Ry guy. We love ya Tim, but you are definitely not Canadian.

Here is our Aidan looking stealth... he actually kicked all of our pants, hands down.
Notice his back leg sweep-over, professional I tell you.

Cameron, surprisingly not so hot at bowling, came in 5th I think. But no matter, he's got other skills which we will see soon in an other post.

Of course, yours truly. I apologize for the underwear shot, all the pics of me have my underwear hanging out, it's part of my bowling strategy.

My father really lettin' it go. Go Boppa!!!

Tim caught this one of the Buckets, my fave pic of the day. This is exactly how he threw it every time and he still beat his dad. Love it.

Canada part un...(one)

Here we go folks, remember that I use this blog as a kind of journal so forgive me for the next several posts.

I love this picture of my dad and the two little ones, we're at Elbow valley here enjoying the beach at a manmade lake.

Two days after we arrived Riley slammed Kali's finger in a door. We rushed her to a walk-in clinic b/c to me it looked like the tip of her finger was cut off, but no after paying $120.00 we walked out literally, three minutes later with a bandage around her finger. Poor boo boo.

My parents are just finishing up a new home and so my dad had lots of work for the boys to do, they always came home completely exhausted after being out with their "Boppa"

And of course it wouldn't be a trip home without baking some apple tart with Granny. My mom used to give me the left over pie dough and I would make all sorts of creations with it, here the tradition continues.

Aidan asked for a Calgary Flames birthday cake, cause he's such a HUGE California-born hockey fan. Ask and ye shall recieve:

(if any of you are needing to make a Calgary flames birthday cake, you know who to call)

A couple of days before we left for Canada, Kali learned how to do this...
