On the road again

SO yes, I am at it again. Canada calls people and I've got to answer. The kiddos and I will be heading north starting on July 5th I think and arrive a couple days later. In preparation for this journey I've been having the boys sew their own "felt pencil rolls",
the perfect thing for an on the go artist.

And while they were doing this:

Kali and Riley were doing this:

"What are you lookin' at!"

The Piano Recital

So a couple of weeks back was the boys first piano recital.

As you can see they were pretty excited

And then the people started filing in.

I mean a lot of people. The boys became suspiciously quiet (which is not normal as you all know)
I leaned over to Tim and told him to look at the boys, "I think they have got a bit of the nerves" I told him

They ended up doing fantastic, but I tell ya, for a minute there I thought we'd have a couple of no-shows from them.

I'm proud of you guys, you did terrific.

Happy Fathers Day Dad

I know most of you have probably seen this video ad nauseum but this is how my dad has always made me feel, like he'd do the IronMan holding on to me. I love you dad.

Who is totally diggin' these videos with me?

I am so in love with these mormon messages. I get up everyday and watch them and then cry. So grab your hanky's and join me.

How we've been spending our days

A couple friends of ours invited us to this great little working farm right here in the bay area called Ardenwood.
The kids had a blast.

There were lots of new baby animals since spring had sprung.

And I realized that Kali needs some more girlie stuff. My friend Meagan has two girls and Kali just helped herself to a couple of their more feminine accessories!!

Nature walk

I am using Anna Comstock's "Handbook of Nature Study" for our science curriculum, in fact I'll be using it for the next 5 years so thank goodness we love it. It is a behemoth of a book and kinda a pain to lug around during our nature walks but she has such wisdom and insight, and I don't.

Here are some photos Cam and I took during our last excursion:
Alas the lone mammal sighting of the day

What's with boys and sticks???

We were all wondering what happened to this tree. Why only this tree? bizarre.

Today...

was kinda no fun.

I was in the process of writing down all the things that made it no fun, but then this post would be no fun

sigh......

here's something fun:

aren't these girls the cutest EVER!!!!!!
(here are of some of the orphans living at Pathway in India where Tim also lived for awhile during college, he was able to go back to visit them a couple of years ago. Scrumptious)
