Wow are we glad to have this chicka around. Here are some fun moments she has provided for us over the past month....
1. She said her first real sentence about a week ago. While she was climbing on Aidans back for a "donkey ride" she screeched "Mom, Check it out!!!"-- as clear as day. I was glad Tim was nearby to witness the hilarity.
2. Tim often likes to have "midnight parties" with Kali, meaning she wakes up at about midnight to "request" a soother but he just gets her up to party. Fun Fun. However on this particular night I decided to free her from her cell and invited her in bed with us. She was so sleepy but, and I gotta say this ahead of time that this was a very tender moment, she looked over to her dad (who was passed out) and started running her hand through his hair. She is a very tender sweetheart who loves her daddy.
3. Two things you should know about Kali before you offer to hold her for me. 1.Kali once dropped her soother (binky) down the front of my shirt and 2. She has a wicked awesome memory. The problem is that she thinks her soothers alway reside down people's shirts, NO MATTER WHO IS HOLDING HER, and also including herself. I often find myself explaining (and appologizing) to unsuspecting victims just what exactly she is looking for. This is only exasperated by the fact that I have on more than one occasion found a soother at the bottom of her footed PJ's b/c she has shoved it down there herself!! What a crack up.
4. When rescuing Kali from her bed in the morning she is ALWAYS, and I mean every time without fail, pointing frantically to her mouth (the sign for food) and yelling "boo boo" (her word for food) When we ask if she wants food she'll give us this look of relief and say "ok", like wow mom and dad thanks for the great suggestion.
We are glad she decided to come to our home, she was sorely needed.

Oh man I love that Kali girl! I also love that binkis are officially "soothers" in the Fewkes home. =)
Kali is the best! Nursery would probably not be as fun without a Fewkes in there. ( so you should probably have another baby because I don't know if I can stand nursery without one of your kids:)
I agree, it's about time for another one Karen! You guys have the cutest kids! I love her first sentence! It's right up there with Makenzie, "Aw man! No way!?"
now tim and karen, u know i have always wanted to run my hand thru tim's hair...just kidding...great being able to keep up to date with your family...much nicer than my boys calling me dork-us...
Hee hee, I will have to warn Karina to wear a turtle-neck when she wants to hold Kali!
That is funny. I love number 2. She is getting so big and she is so beautiful!
