This last Saturday my family allowed me to drag them out to the annual "Walk For Life West Coast" rally in San Fransisco. It was kind of awesome. Sometimes one wonders, especially living in this area, if you're the only one concerned about this. There was no need to wonder any longer. Upon arrival at the Justin Herman Plaza, where we listened to some pretty rockin' preachers and pro-life advocates before the walk, I could see thousands of people. It was packed AND it was pouring rain!!! Being only a semi-prepared mamma (I had packed food but no rain gear)a family soon took pity on us and gave us not one but two of their precious umbrellas. Eventually the sunshine broke through and it became a walking party. We got to traverse/dance along with some pretty enthusiastic drummers and singers.
They were awesome.
Anyways, the children were real troopers. They didn't even start whining until about half way. As it happens "half way" through the march landed us right at Fishermans wharf. Tim and I decided that we could call it a "Demonstration" and head over to the wharf for some fun. It was a great/hard day.
If any of you are interested I will definitely be going again next year sans kids so feel free to come with.
Also for your purusing enjoying you may want to check out this organization that I have been affiliated with for awhile now. I really dig their philosophies regarding the pro-life movement. You can check them out here:
